Shift Double-Click not working

Post by jko »

Hi,

I recently upgraded from V7.2 to V11 (current version). In the past (with V7.2), I could double-click a file to view it in V; if I wanted to execute the file (using the normal Windows app for that file type), I could just shift double-click.

Since I have upgraded to V11, however, this no longer seems to work. Was this shift double-click feature removed? (If so, why?)

Or do I need to configure something differently? Or is there another way to accomplish this same ability (as there are some file types that I want to be able to view or execute, based on the need of the moment)?

Thanks much, John :)

In V11, the Shift+Double Click functionality has now been replaced by Ctrl+Shift+Double Click.

Shift+Double Click now ensures that a file is always opened in a new window - overriding the Use Existing File Window ... option in the Window Layout tab of Preferences.

Note that you can also use Ctrl+I to execute a file.

Regards,
Charles.
