In moving to a new system, is there a way to copy all the old favorites to the new system as the architecture will be very similar... and this will save a tremendous amount of setup time...

There are 2 ways of doing this:

The first is to use VClone to export the settings on one PC and import them on the other:

http://www.fileviewer.com/VClone.html

The second is to manually copy the V Registry key and settings folder. To do this:

1. Use the Registry Editor (REGEDIT) to export the following key to a .reg file:

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Prineas\FileViewer
You can then use the Registry Editor on the second PC to import the reg file.

2. Copy the V settings folder from one PC to the other:

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\V (on Win7/Vista)
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\V (on XP)
