How can I resize the File Mask box?

The File Mask field appears to automatically UP-size, as progressively larger mask strings are placed into it, but there is no apparent way to DOWN-size it!
There is no way to manually resize the mask field - however, you can delete a long mask by selecting it, right-clicking on the drop down arrow next tobut there is no apparent way to DOWN-size it
it and selecting "Delete this Entry". This should cause the mask to resize.
