Easier renaming of multiple files

I use a picture viewer called XnView which has a very easy to use renaming option for multiple files (they called it Batch renaming). Would it be possible to make something like this in V also? I've used V for a week now, and I love it. But i really miss a good and easy renaming option for multiple files. The Regex thing seems to be too advanced when you're in a hurry. An easier option i.e. like the one in XnView would therefore have been much appreciated in V7.

V has many renaming options in the FileName submenu of the File menu.

The Modify and Modify (Regex) commands should be able to handle most renaming tasks.

In particular, Modify (Regex) is very powerful - although it can be a bit difficult to understand.

Can you give me an example of the type of rename that you want to do, and I will tell you if/how V can do it.
