Re: V doesn't show up in Programs and Features
Yes, this is done deliberately.I do not think that you would want any user to be able to uninstall the software. yeah, I don't want users to uninstall software, but Windows already takes care of that and users can't uninstall software, Only administrators can. You do realize that there are some goo...

Yes, this is done deliberately.I do not think that you would want any user to be able to uninstall the software. This wouldn't be a problem for us since only IT staff are administrators on our computers, everyone else is a regular user and unable to uninstall anything in the Program Files directory...

V doesn't show up in Programs and Features
Our office is running inventory software that runs WMI queries on our computers in order to track who has what installed for licensing purposes. Since V is licensed we tried to do a query on how many V installs we had to make sure we were within our license numbers. problem is, our query came back w...

it looks like files with "deflate" compression are readable, "enhanced deflate" is not readable.
I assume there is no way around this and I'll have to re-compress? Wouldn't bother me if I have to, I'd rather be consistent in how these files are compressed anyway.

Re: unable to view zips in v14 x64
as I test it out more, I think it has something to do with the version of WinZip. Old files that were probably zipped up with an older version of winzip years ago are unreadable, but I just tried out a freshly created zip and I can read it just fine. I can't give you a copy of one of the zips as the...

unable to view zips in v14 x64
When I upgrade to v14 x64, I can view the contents of zip files, but I am no longer able to open them and I get an "Invalid or unsupported format" error I see the blurb in the version history about a new dll used for zip functionality in the x64 version. Can you elaborate on this or explai...
